Rock
Castle Scottish Terriers, breeders Jaime and Barbara Medina, and Amanda
Thomas, had our first champion Scottie under the
Rock Castle prefix in 1987 with Ch. Rock Castle's Can't Believe It. The
breed was introduced to our family with my grandparents with our first
pet shop boy Duncan in 1965. Ever since, we haven't been without one
Scottie, or two, or three...They're our obsession!
We've been showing
Scotties for more than 30 years. Below are our show boys, Zachary
and George. More

George
won his first 2 points at the Asheville Kennel Club
show in North Carolina in June of 2003. He then joined
the Peter Green Team and started his ascent! He was
a top ten Scottish Terrier in 2004 and 2005. He is currently
showing in Canada and enjoying the company of some lovely
four legged ladies. Look for George puppies in the ring
this year!
George is the son of Ch. Friendship Hill Dr. Watson,
the number one Scottish Terrier in 2003 as well as Best of Breed wins
at Montgomery County Kennel Club and Westminster. His great-grandmother
was a Westminster Best In Show winner in 1995 - Ch. Gaelforce Post
Script, Peggy Sue.
George likes to sleep on his back, eat ice cream,
play soccer, and spend his free time relaxing on the couch. He is deeply
loved and gives us chillbumps with his wins in the show ring. Though
not our first champion of Rock Castle's Scottish Terriers, he was our
first to compete at Westminster where he won the Award of Merit in
February 2004 and February 2005. He also competed at the AKC/Eukanuba
Championship in Tampa in 2005. We had such a blast!
George is competing in Novice agility summer 2007 and working towards Open! |
Zachary
completed his AKC championship in March 2006 in Raleigh,
NC. Shown by both his owners and Gerardo Reyes, Zachary
has boundless energy to perform. Zachary won Best of
Winners at the Ontario Regional Scottish Terrier Specialty
owner handled and is now a Canadian champion.
Zachary is also attempting agility this summer and has had a bunch of fun in a recent show and go.
